Lagioia, Giovanni

Giovanni Lagioia is Full Professor at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, Italy. He holds a PhD in Commodity Science. He is the Head of the Department Economics, Management and Business Law. He teaches Commodity Science, Environmental Strategies for Circular economy, Waste management. His main research topic is bioenergy, the End-of-Life Management, MFA, LCT, Input-Output analysis, Circular Economy.

Annarita Paiano holds a master degree in Economics and PhD. She is Associate Professor of Commodity Science, technology, innovation and sustainable production at University of Bari Aldo Moro, Italy. She is an Editorial Board Member and reviewer of international journals (MPDI, Elsevier, Springer and others). She uses LCA, MFA, Carbon Footprint, Water Footprint based approaches.

Vera Amicarelli, Ph.D. in Commodity Science, is Associate Professor at University of Bari Aldo Moro, Italy. She teaches Industrial ecology, Quality, environment and sustainability and Resource and waste management. She is author of more than 80 scientific papers and her main research interests focus on: material flow analysis, natural resources and environmental management and circular economy. Since 1996 she is member of Italian Commodity Science Academy (AISME).

Teodoro Gallucci, is associate professor at University of Bari Aldo Moro. He holds a PhD in Commodity Sciences. The main research topics concern the study and analysis of production processes through the methodology of life cycle thinking, such as life cycle assessment (LCA) applied to different economic sectors.

Carlo Ingrao: assistant professor in “Commodity Science” at University of Bari Aldo Moro (Italy); MSc degree in “Engineering for the Environment and the Territory” at the University of Catania; PhD in “Civil Infrastructure for the Territory” (Kore University of Enna, Italy), and in “Geotechnical Engineering” (University of Catania, Italy). Research interests: development of life-cycle energy and environmental assessments in the fields of commodity science and in close-related fields.

This conference proceedings book is conceived to contribute to advancing further the knowledge on the ways innovation, quality and sustainability issues can contribute to addressing and solving those concerns in a circular economy context.
