In various countries, including Germany, national strategies have been developed to improve the quality of care for people with dementia and to focus on their social milieu. Supervising and caring for people with dementia requires not only professional competence but also tremendous openness and sensitivity in order to ensure a good quality of life and self-determination up to the end of life.
