To escape a world in which he believes he cannot find love and appreciation, a young man takes refuge in his fantasies.
In the course of his development, he creates fictitious friends in his mind who live in a ruined world and also strive for fulfilment. To be close to these beings and show them his deep feelings, the man confides in someone and his last revelation before parting emerges, in which he sends Joliyad on a journey to the truth of both their lives.
Without intending to, the dying man throws Joliyad's mind and home into chaos and struggles for control over the events he allows to unfold with the telling of his story.
His protagonist experiences social and emotional upheavals and discovers his affection for his childhood friend Amarok who is a member of the race with which Joliyad's nation is at war.
Together they want to change the situation in their world, because their love for each other is stronger than the sheer hatred that divides their two species.

In the midst of a severe depression, triggered by war and pain, the young wolf Amarok has to reorganize his life. Again and again he loses himself in thought, inwardly returning to the time shortly after the beginning of the war.
He befriends the shepherd dog Chenerah after the latter saves his life.
The hated fox, who took everything from the Samoyedan, is unyielding, so there is no improvement in sight.
The Gajans, who help the wolves in the fight, enrich themselves with the resources of the planet, exploit it and change the society with lasting effect.
When a glimmer of hope is dashed by a mistake Amarok makes, he flees, along with Chenerah and Queen Serena, to Alsatiania, the land of the Alsatiani.
Amarok and Chenerah grow closer as the wolf realizes that his friend is the cause of all evil on AlphaVul. He notices that the dog is the one who is the architect of the Aramerians and Samoyedans world and who has caused it to fall into chaos.
Their paths separate, while the nation of the shepherd dogs (the Alsatiani) stand alone, without the help of the wolves and foxes, against the Gajan who wants to rob them of the origin of all time.

Nachdem der Mensch erfolgreich zurückgeschlagen ist, kehrt langsam Frieden auf AlphaVul ein. Der gealterte Schäferhund Chenerah, der den Tod seines Freundes Amarok rächt, resigniert und bedauert den Ausgang der Geschichte seiner Gefährten. Nach einigen Jahren trifft der Hund auf den jungen Wolfkönig Rexion, der ihm den entscheidenden Geistesblitz schenkt, der es ermöglichen soll, die Zeit an ihrem Ursprung zu verändern. Die Reise führt Chenerah nach Gaja, ins alte Ägypten, über 2000 Jahre in die Vergangenheit. Der Grund für die Entstehung seiner Welt, seines Seins und seiner Verbindung zum Architekten, dem Erbauer seiner Geschichte, offenbart sich ihm (und damit auch dem Autor) in einigen fundamentalen Erkenntnissen. Die verbliebenen Rätsel der Geschichte lösen sich auf und ordnen den Geist des Architekten, welcher seinen Schützling nicht aus den Augen lässt und sich ihm, das eigene Buch ändernd, in den Weg stellt. Der Schäferhund begibt sich auf eine Mission, die schwerwiegender und bedeutsamer für ihn nicht sein könnte, um dabei zu begreifen, dass Zeit etwas ist, das sich selbst repariert und ordnet. In finalen Begegnungen mit dem altägyptischen Gott Yanepu (Anubis) und seinem gajanischen Schöpfer erfüllt Chenerah das ihm seit Anbeginn vorbestimmte Schicksal, sorgt für Frieden im Geiste des Erschaffers und schließt damit den Kreis, der die Entstehung und das Ende seiner Welt gleichermaßen enthält.

After the human kind is successfully repelled, peace slowly returns to AlphaVul. The aged shepherd dog Chenerah, who avenges the death of his friend Amarok, resigns and regrets the outcome of his companions' story. After several years, the dog meets the young wolf king Rexion, who gives him the decisive flash of inspiration, which should make it possible to change time at its origin. The journey takes Chenerah to Gaja, ancient Egypt, over 2000 years into the past. The reason for the creation of his world, his being and his connection to the "Architect", the builder of his history, is revealed to him (and thus also to the author) in some fundamental perceptions. The remaining riddles of the story unravel and order the mind of the author, who does not let his protégé out of his sight and stands in his way, changing his own book. The shepherd goes on a mission that could not be more serious and significant for him, just to realize that time is something that repairs and orders itself. In final encounters with the ancient Egyptian god Yanepu (Anubis) and his Gajan creator Chenerah fulfills the destiny predetermined for him since the beginning, makes peace in the spirit of the creator and closes the circle, which contains the origin and the end of his world equally.
