[Lutheran liturgies in diversity and change] In the 19th century, independent Lutheran churches emerge in Germany. Liturgical issues played a significant role in this process. In this volume, the various orders of worship of the independent Lutheran churches are available for the first time in a collected form, sheet music included. On the one hand, they are interwoven into the liturgical development of the 19th and 20th centuries, but on the other hand, they also show a certain degree of independence and diversity. The documentation of individual (post-)Reformation orders of worship and the introductions and evaluations in this volume provide a contextually informed view of this branch of Lutheran liturgical history by revealing developments, continuities, and renewals.
