Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing

The EWG-DSS series of International Conference on Decision Support System Technology (ICDSST) is planned to consolidate the tradition of annual events organized by the EWG-DSS in offering a platform for European and international DSS communities, comprising the academic and industrial sectors, to present state-of-the-art DSS research and developments, to discuss current challenges that surround decision-making processes, to exchange ideas about realistic and innovative solutions, and to co-develop potential business opportunities.

The main theme of this year was “Decision Support Systems in An Uncertain World: The Contribution of Digital Twins”.

The 21 papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 65 submissions. They were organized in topical sections as follows: DSS models,methods, and tools; DSS for business performance and stakeholders; DSS applications for sustainability in health, energy and transportation; and DSS users and successful adoption.

This book constitutes the proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Digital Economy, ICDEc 2024, held in Rabat, Morocco, during May 9-11, 2024. 

The 43 full papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 117 submissions. They were categorized under the topical sections as follows:

Part I: Digital Transformation, Digital Economy and Investment, Artificial Intelligence and E-learning, E-commerce and Social Media Marketing, Exploring the Nexus of Digital and Sustainable Economies in Developing States and Digital Business Models.

Part II: Application of Machine Learning for Business, Digital Technologies and Innovative Management, Social Networks and Information Technologies, Digital Economy in Emerging Countries Mobile Banking and Digital Assets, Online Session.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of two long-running events held along with the CAiSE conference and related to the areas of enterprise, business-process and information systems modeling:

- the 26th International Conference on Business Process Modeling, Development and Support, BPMDS 2025 and

- the 30th International Conference on Exploring Modeling Methods for Systems Analysis and Development, EMMSAD 2025.

The conferences were taking place in Vienna, Austria, during June 16–17, 2025.

For BPMDS 12 full papers were carefully reviewed and selected for publication from a total of 39 submissions. The BPMDS papers deal with a broad range of theoretical and applications-based research in business process modeling, development and support.

For EMMSAD 13 full papers and 3 short papers were accepted from a total of 37 submissions after thorough reviews. EMMSAD focusses on modeling methods for systems analysis and development.

The present book includes extended and revised versions of selected papers submitted to the Topical Area of Information Technology for Business and Society, ITBS 2024, and the Thematic Track on Information System Management, ISM 2024, held as part of the 19th Conference on Computer Science and Intelligence Systems, FedCSIS 2024, which took place in Belgrade, Serbia, during September 2024. 

ITBS 2024 received 14 submissions, from which 3 full papers and 3 short papers have been accepted; for ISM 2024, 3 full papers have been accepted from 8 submissions. The accepted papers are grouped in sections on Business-IT Alignment and Digital Transformation; Consumer Insights and Intelligent Decision Making; and Research Methods for Analytical Approaches to IT Applications.
