The Transatlantic Agreement

Due to globalization, new economic powers are developing in Asia and Latin America creating potential risk of displacement of the United States and Europe in the global competition. Given this shift of global power, what role will the United States and the European Union play in facilitating cooperation in this new global environment? A Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership Agreement between the U.S. and the EU would create new opportunities for both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. This book assesses the reasons for TTIP’s failure and provides recommendations as well as solutions for moving forward with the Transatlantic trade agreement negotiations.
