This guide is based on the knowledge of several years of experience abroad and numerous travels, and also of my many years of professional experience with nativ speakers, interpreters/translators. The culutre of other countries, which I have experienced first-hand, fascinates me again and again.
Intercultural competence
In addition to verbal communication, non-verbald communication also varies grom country to country and must be taken into account in intercultural communication. Additional factors to consider include the influence of history, different communication styles, eye contact, silence in high-context cultures and the different meanings of physical contact.
Interkulturelle Kompetenz
Unsere eigene Kultur bestimmt durch welche Brille wir die Welt betrachten, und sie hat auch Einfluss auf unser Denken, Fühlen und Handeln. Da wir annehmen, dass nur unsere Denkweise die einzig Richtige ist, verursacht dieser Glaube Barrieren für eine effektive interkulturelle Kommunikation.
