His research interests include teacher education, teacher identity, adolescence, popular culture, cultural studies, young adult literature, psychoanalytic theory, noise-making, comics and the emotional experiences of education.
The Figure of the Teacher in Comics
This book explores the distinctive narrative and representational gestures used to portray the personal and professional lives of teachers in comics. While serving as a reference for conceptualizing teachers in literary and popular culture, this book also turns to comics as a means to better understand and interpret lived, emotional experiences of teaching.
