Narong Kiettikunwong

Narong Kiettikunwong is a full-time faculty member at the College of Local Administration, Khon Kaen University, Thailand. His academic background spans public administration, law, economics, and information systems, with a strong focus on governance, regulation, and institutional design in public-sector contexts. Before entering academia, Narong Kiettikunwong gained professional experience in both the public and private sectors, including work with the U.S. Department of State and in private enterprises, where he served as a founder and CEO. This professional background continues to inform his research, which emphasizes practical relevance alongside theoretical rigor. His research interests include public governance and regulation, legal and institutional reform, trust and ethics in public organizations, competition and regulatory law, and access to justice. In recent years, his work has increasingly engaged with legal analysis, particularly in relation to litigation funding, regulatory frameworks, and the interaction between law, markets, and public interest objectives across different legal systems. Narong Kiettikunwong is actively involved in international research collaborations across Southeast Asia and regularly contributes to academic publications, policy-oriented research, and interdisciplinary projects.
