Tully O’Neill
Dr Tully O'Neill is a Lecturer in Criminology at La Trobe University (Melbourne, Australia) who lives and works on unceded Wurundjeri land. As a feminist and digital criminologist, their research to-date examines how justice manifests in digital society, particularly in the aftermath of sexual violence. Tully's further research interests revolve around identity, technology, justice, and victimisation, as well as the intersections of queer, feminist and post-structural theories. Tully's research has featured in leading international and national journals within the discipline, including The British Journal of Criminology, Trauma, Violence & Abuse, Current Issues in Criminal Justice, Journal of Gender-Based Violence, and the International Journal for Crime, Justice & Social Democracy.
Disclosing Sexual Violence in a Digital Society
This book examines the various ways that victim-survivors disclose sexual violence in digital settings and theorizes the extent to which these practices constitute a new and informal 'justice' occurring in digital space. It features qualitative research interviews conducted with victim-survivors who disclosed sexual violence online and analyzes digital spaces utilized by survivors for the purposes of support, healing, and connection.
