Zhanar Sekerbayeva is a PhD researcher. In her work she aims at expanding the concept of ‘gender’ in the general public discourse through activism by mainstreaming questions of gender identity in the academia. She is a co-founder of Kazakhstan Feminist Initiative “Feminita”.
