Novri Susan
Novri Susan is the lecture at Sociology Department Universitas Airlangga, and the director of Center for Development and Conflict Management Studies in Universitas Airlangga. got his Doctoral degree from Doshisha University, Kyoto in the field of Contemporary Asian Studies. His Masters was gained from United Nations mandated University for Peace, Costa Rica, in the field of International Peace Studies. While his Bachelor degree is from Universitas Gadjah Mada in the field Sociology. Novri Susan has published some books such as Sosiologi Konflik (Sociology of Conflict), Negara Gagal Mengelola Konflik (State Failure in Conflict Management), Sosiologi Korupsi (Sociology of Corruption) and some books chapter. He also published several papers related to conflict issues in journals and international conference proceedings.
The Aceh Separatism Conflict in Indonesia
This book is the first to analyse the practice of governance to resolve conflict in the case of Aceh in Indonesia. Combining theoretical discourse on conflict, democracy, and governance, it draws from original field research on the separatist conflict, utilizing a social constructivist approach in collating observations and interviews with political elites from both the Government of Indonesia and the Aceh Independent Movement (GAM).
