Wimbledon – Bad Homburg return

Tennis – a game writes history. This book explains how the sport developed. It covers how the sport redefined itself in London in the 1870’s, set the ground rules and made itself marketable. At the same time, the example of the royal residence and spa town Bad Homburg shows how quickly the sport was adopted overseas and became a part of the local landscape in its new home.
