R. N. Patel received his Ph.D. in Power Systems from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, India, in 2003. He earned his M.Tech. from IIT Delhi and his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from SGSITS, Indore. His diverse research interests include programming and optimization, application of artificial intelligence techniques, design of intelligent controllers, power system stability, and renewable energy systems. Currently, he is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. He has presented his research at numerous international journals and conferences and has organized several tutorials, workshops, and conferences. He played a pioneering role in establishing the first Business Incubator (BI) in Chhattisgarh with financial support from the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. His other initiatives include the establishment of the first IEEE Student Branch and the first NPTEL Local Chapter in Chhattisgarh.

Dattatraya N. Gaonkar received his B.Tech. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BVB College of Engineering and Technology, Hubli, in 1998. He earned his M.Tech. in Power and Energy Systems from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, in 2003, and his Ph.D. in Power Systems from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee in 2008. He has guided eight Ph.D. students, with six more currently under supervision. He has completed three research projects in the areas of microgrids and photovoltaic systems and has published over 130 research papers in reputed journals and conferences. He has delivered numerous invited lectures on distributed generation and smart grid technologies and has received two best paper awards. Prof. Gaonkar is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India). His primary research interests include power system operation and control, distributed generation systems, and power electronics. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at NITK Surathkal, India.

Ankit Bansal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. He earned his B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IT-BHU and completed his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, USA. Before joining IIT Roorkee in 2013, Dr. Bansal worked as a Scientist at DRDO and as an Assistant Professor at IIT Mandi. His research focuses on radiative heat transfer, hypersonic flows, flow–radiation coupling, and non-equilibrium thermodynamics, with applications in aerospace and thermal protection systems. He has also contributed to solar energy assessment, CFD modeling, and advanced computational methods. His work is widely published and cited in reputed journals and conferences. At IIT Roorkee, Dr. Bansal supervised several postgraduate and doctoral students and has played a key role in strengthening computational and laboratory research facilities. He also serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for international journals, actively contributing to the scientific community. Dr. Bansal is recognized for his contributions to thermal sciences, aerothermodynamics, and sustainable energy systems, combining academic rigor with practical problem-solving to advance research and education in mechanical engineering.
