Emil Nolde - Welt und Heimat

Emil Nolde is deeply characterized by his home in the German border area. Dramatic landscapes, exciting marine paintings and bright flower paintings became his trademark. The artist widens his view through trips, for example to Italy, England, France, Scandinavia, Spain and Switzerland. The famous “South Sea trip” takes the married couple of Nolde over Moscow, Siberia, Korea, Japan and China to the “German protected areas” of German new Guinea.
