Ge Hongbing, Ph.D., is a renowned scholar in Creative Writing Studies and the executive director of the Institute for Chinese Creative Writing at Shanghai University. He has made significant contributions to the establishment of creative writing as an academic discipline in China. With over 30 years of research and teaching experience, he has published numerous works, including the first indigenous textbook on creative writing in China. Professor Ge is a distinguished professor, doctoral supervisor, and president of the World Chinese Creative Writing Association. His research focuses on creative writing theory, writing pedagogy, and the integration of creative writing with cultural industries. He has been a keynote speaker at international conferences and has published widely in both Chinese and English.
