Der Bauernkrieg in Freiburg und im Breisgau

Im Frühjahr 1525 erfasste der Bauernkrieg den Breisgau mit voller Wucht. Aus Protest gegen drückende Abgaben und feudale Willkür, aber auch zur Gewinnung neuer Handlungsspielräume, schlossen sich Bauern zusammen, besetzten Klöster, verhandelten mit Obrigkeiten – und belagerten schließlich Freiburg.
