Super-Max Goes Home
Emmie's best friend is her her dog Maxwell, her beloved Super-Max. When Super-Max dies, Emmie is devastated. But then, she finds that he is in fact still around - he just doesn't have a body anymore.
This story takes you by the hand and walks you through the pain of losing a beloved animal, and lets you experience the joy of realizing that the dead aren't actually all that 'dead'. It is a hopeful and sympathetic account of how a girl and her dog come to understand that, as Maxwell puts it, there's more to life than fur and bones.

Gitta Wolf sees her life as a voyage of discovery, picking up new skills and re-learning ancient knowledge along the way. Her books reflect her deep appreciation of the interconnectedness of all life. She currently lives in a little crooked house in the foothills of the Ölberg near Bonn/Germany, with her husband, the British landscape painter Oliver Wolf.
