About the book:
365 Squares is the manifestation of Moon's impulsive crazy project to draw every day for a year on a 15 x 15 cm square sheet of paper, using a variety of tools such as graphite, colored pencil, inks and watercolours.
This 3rd volume is in the same format as volumes 1 and 2, co-published in 2022 with Éditions Caurette, to maintain the symmetry of this fine collection. It is a marvelous 380-page hardcover art book in 21 x 21 cm (8,2 x 8,2 inches) format. All the illustrations made in 2023 for this project will be reproduced at actual size (15 x 15 cm, or 5,9 x 5,9 inches).
Entering Moon's universe is to let oneself be taken by the hand to discover a world full of vibrant colours, creatures simultaneously both human and vegetable, and discovering the balance between form and nuance. The maxim that a picture is worth a thousand words, were never truer than when in reference to Moon's drawings, which reveal torment, expectation, encounters, doubt...
