Die Stadt Salzburg 1945. 80 Jahre Kriegsende

Dem 80. Jahrestag des Kriegsendes widmet das Stadtarchiv Salzburg eine Ausstellung, die zentrale Themen des Lebens in der Stadt im Umbruchsjahr 1945 in den Blick nimmt: von der Befreiung durch die US-Armee über die Wohnungsnot, die schwierige
Versorgungslage und die beginnende Entnazifizierung bis hin zum kulturellen Wiederaufbau durch Zeitung, Radio, Kino, Theater und die Salzburger Festspiele.

The Salzburg City Archive is dedicating an exhibition to the 80th anniversary of the end of the war. It focuses on central themes of life in the city in 1945, a year of upheaval: from the liberation by the US Army, the housing shortage, the difficult supply situation,
and the beginning of denazification to the cultural reconstruction by newspapers, radio, cinema, theatre, and the Salzburg festival.
