Dirk van den Boom (born 1966) has published more than 100 novels in the fields of science fiction and fantasy. In 2017 he received the German Science Fiction Award for his novel "Prinzipat". Dirk van den Boom is also a consultant on development cooperation, migration policy and social policy, and a professor of political science. He lives with his family in Saarbrücken, Germany.

Über den Autor
Dirk van den Boom (geboren 1966) hat bereits über 100 Romane im Bereich der Science-Fiction und Fantasy veröffentlicht. 2017 erhielt er den Deutschen Science Fiction Preis für seinen Roman "Prinzipat". Zu seinen wichtigen Werken gehören der "Kaiserkrieger-Zyklus" (Alternative History) und die Reihe "Tentakelkrieg" (Military SF). Dirk van den Boom ist darüber hinaus Berater für Entwicklungszusammenarbeit, Migrationspolitik und Sozialpolitik sowie Professor für Politikwissenschaft. Er lebt mit seiner Familie in Saarbrücken.
