Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung in der Hochschule

Education is seen as one of the most important keys to achieve global sustainable development. Higher education is of particular importance in this context, as it is intended to sensitise future decision-makers to the challenges of sustainable development and enable them to assume an active and responsible role in shaping this development.
The Leuphana University Lüneburg was one of the first universities in Germany to systematically address the challenges of sustainable development. The aim of this volume is to present these approaches as well as findings on the effectiveness of a sustainability-oriented course of study. The volume thus provides scientifically sound impulses for opportunities to integrate education for sustainable development into university teaching.
