The Greek version of the Psalter was probably written as a translation from Hebrew for the Jewish diaspora in Alexandria. As the oldest translation of the Hebrew Psalter, it
represents an important witness and is indispensable for the reconstruction of the oldest Hebrew text. Hong develops new criteria for the reconstruction of the oldest Greek psalm text and its early text history using selected psalms.
