BMW Art Cars

Since its invention, the automobile has fascinated the world of art. The BMW Art Cars play a central role in this: since 1975, twenty artists have designed BMW models, with many “rolling sculptures” proving their worth not only in museums, but also previously on the Le Mans race track. With contributions by: John Baldessari, Alexander Calder, Sandro Chia, Olafur Eliasson, Cao Fei, David Hockney, Jenny Holzer, Jeff Koons, Roy Lichtenstein, César Manrique, Julie Mehretu, A.R. Penck, Robert Rauschenberg, Frank Stella, Andy Warhol and others.
