Über den Autor
Jules Verne wurde am 8. Februar 1828 als Sohn eines Rechtsanwalts in Nantes geboren. Er studierte Jura in Paris, doch anstatt die Kanzlei seines Vaters zu übernehmen, verlegte er sich aufs Schreiben – und wurde mit seinen zahlreichen Reise- und Abenteuerromanen weltbekannt. Er starb am 24. März 1905 in Amiens.
